TRASH TIKI JOSHUA TREE MUSIC FESTIVAL 2025

Trash Tiki lightly tiki themed immersive walkthrough and chill space made from discards and reclaimed/ reused materials. It was installed at Joshua Tree Music Festival in Oct 2025 as a collaboration with TrashBaby’s Relaxation Cube. The 2 installations stood side by side, both from discards created as chill spaces, presenting a minimalist vs maximalist vibe.
Trash Tiki was approx 12’ x 12’ and included lots of texture, lights, a 2-way infinity mirror, and seating with a built-in sofa and a bartop. This is a spin off of an ongoing variable scale installation I have been showing since 2021 called Transitional Objects, that work invites people to leave an object they no longer want and for viewers to claim those objects. This version is exclusively a hang out space, and does not include object exchange.
